Extract pages from a PDF

Sometimes the part you need is four pages of a hundred: one clause of a contract, the page of a bank statement an agency asked for, the two pages of a report that are actually about your department. Name those pages and you get them as a document of their own, with the original left alone on your disk. It happens inside your browser, so nothing is uploaded and nothing is stored, which matters most for exactly the documents people extract from. Pages are counted the way your reader shows them, starting at one, and single pages and ranges can be mixed in the same request. They come out in the order you name them, and nothing is redrawn, so text stays selectable and images stay as they were. If what you want is one file per range instead of one file in total, splitting is the tool for that.

How it works

  1. Open your PDF

Drag the file onto the page or use the file picker. Nothing is sent anywhere.

  2. Name the pages to keep

Type the pages you need, like 7 or 2,9 or 14-17. Everything else is left out.

  3. Extract and download

Press the button and the new PDF saves straight to your downloads folder.

Frequently asked questions

Is my file uploaded to a server?
No. Extracting runs entirely in your browser, so the document never leaves your device.
Do I get one file or several?
One file, holding the pages you named in the order you named them, so 4,1 gives you page four followed by page one. Split PDF is the tool that gives you a file per range.
Is the original changed?
No. The file on your disk is untouched. Extracting copies the pages you asked for into a new document.
How do I write the page numbers?
Single pages and ranges, separated by commas: 5 takes one page, and 1,8-10 takes four.
What about a very large file?
Above 50 MB the work moves to our servers, because a browser tab runs out of memory first. The page tells you before it happens, and the file is deleted two hours later.
